'The Cat's Whiskers'

My wonderful friend Nancy asked me to be in her exhibition. She had numerous T.V sets where she had hollowed them out and made them into small individual galleries and I was lucky enough to get the chance to do one.

Since all my work is usually 2D I liked the idea of doing something more 3 dimensional. My idea is based on classic childrens T.V programs made with stop motion animation eg Bagpus, The Clangers, The Herbs etc. Except with more of an adult theme, hence the drinking and smoking mice.
The exhibition was held in an abandoned primary school in Manchester

With thanks to Nancy for setting the whole thing up, Daniel for helping me make the set and Nicole for helping me with materials.

Adorable! :)
I found your Web site and blog via Yellow Squirrel on Etsy. I told her how much I loved her shop banner and she told me you were the one who did it.

Your illustrations are so cute. :) I'm a writer, and although I don't have any children's books published yet, I am constantly reading children's fiction and either admiring or gagging at the pictures, depending. There are so many illustrators who have ugly work. (The same goes for writers I guess!) But yours are precious. "Cunning" as my grandmother would have said. ;)

I love mice, and I want to steal that tiny mouse in the bottom left corner of your Web site's opening page ... I want to keep it for a pet. :)

This is amazing. I love the mice!

I used to watch the herbs on video over and over when I was a kid.
